Levy Steps Down, Killey Assumes Agrium's Director Position

Posted 08/01/07

Alan Levy (Agrium)  announced today he will resign effective immediately, his role as a CICC Director and Member of the Executive Committee.  Alan, a Director since February 2001, has consistently been a thought leader and tireless worker on behalf of CICC.  He is a past chairman of both the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.  He was very instrumental in guiding CICC's restructuring in the latter part of 2006.

Alan will also leaves his role as Industrial Accounts Manager with Agrium U.S. in order to pursue consulting opportunities, including Agrium, for which he is particularly well suited.  He has held positions in marine/rail/truck logistics, shipping, and warehousing. He was a minerals exploration geologist in Alaska, Australia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Guyana and points in between. Alan has experience with specialty, rare earth, and exotic elements and industrial minerals and has worked on many DCF-ROI evaluations of mineral properties, chemical and mining companies, and power plants.

It is with deep regret the Board of Directors of CICC accepts the resignation of Alan Levy.  We sincerely thank him for his dedication and wish him every success in his new pursuits.

In a related move, John Killey, Environmental Specialist at Agrium's West Sacramento facility will immediately step into the CICC Director's slot vacated by Alan Levy.  Killey has served as Agrium's Alternate Director for more than a year and has participated in numerous CICC activities.  John was a member of the CICC steering team which helped establish guidelines and criteria for the voluntary Pollution Prevention Challenge Program.  CICC welcomes John Killey as its newest Director and looks forward to his continuing good humor and solid contributions.
