What is the Chemical Industry Council of California?
The Chemical Industry Council of California (CICC) is a voluntary non-profit 501(c)(6) trade association incorporated in the State of California with its headquarters in the greater Sacramento metropolitan area. It is comprised of large and small chemical manufacturers and processors, chemical distributors, other chemical trade associations, users of chemicals and providers of services to the chemical industry throughout California. CICC members operate more than 100 instate facilities, including manufacturing plants; research laboratories; sales, service and distribution centers; chemical transportation groups; engineering firms; and law firms.

What We Do
The Chemical Industry Council of California seeks to provide an effective means for individual companies and organizations engaged in the commerce of chemicals to combine their talents and resources to build understanding and support for sound public policies that affect the chemical industry in California.
- Alert member companies regarding public attitudes and governmental intent in matters affecting the industry
- Provide a forum for member discussion and review of public policy issues important to the industry
- Provide timely and reliable information regarding the industry to members of the Governor, State Legislature, and various state agencies
- Speak out on behalf of the industry regarding the importance of chemicals to the quality of life and the state's economy
- Promote a coordinated chemical industry response on public policy issues and effective participation during the development of legislative and regulatory measures related to chemicals and science policy

- CUPA Outreach and communications
- Anti-terrorist awareness training and facilitated opportunities to meet w/ law enforcement and Homeland Security representatives
- Participation with the FBI in the national InfraGard partnership
* CICC is a mutual benefit corporation with a mission to serve the general needs of its membership. As a consequence individualized member services are not without limitation. CICC staff will respond to all requests but on a case-by-case basis may at some point be obligated to refer a member to a third party.
